A Development Coach helps you to harness what you’ve learned and experienced, apply that to current circumstances, so you can reach where you want to be.
FOCUS ON YOUR GOALS
Coaching is driven by you and your goals, so you set the course. While there are some common themes to development coaching, there are also a great many variables.
Because of the variables, it’s difficult to quote development coaching before having a conversation with you about your needs.
For example, let’s say you have a tricky team member, in a new team you’re leading. We’re going to want to ask about some background.
- How long have you been leading teams of this nature?
- What’s the scope of your role?
- Are there any time pressures?
- What’s the related risk associated here?
We’ll be looking to match you with one of our coaches who’s best suited to your circumstances.
COACHES AREN’T MENTORS, BUT
IT’S USEFUL IF THEY’RE FAMILIAR
WITH YOUR SPACE
Coaches are not mentors. They don’t give you the answers. Coaches ask highly targeted questions, to help you to identify your own knowledge. They help you to uncover the strategies to progress. If a development coach has some background in a similar environment to you, they can more quickly get to asking you the most effective questions.
Our coaches come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are long-term professional coaches, some have psychology or NLP backgrounds.
Many of our coaches are senior leaders who enjoy the opportunity to work with people outside of their industry. They coach with us on specific projects. Others still are active Board Directors or retired senior leaders, who’s skill sets combine both high-level corporate expertise and a vast bank of coaching work.
THE COST OF
Coaching costs vary from one coach to another. You can expect to pay from around $600 per hour to over $6000 per session with an experienced coach. The quickest way to identify likely coach and costs is to talk. Let’s chat about your circumstances and your goals.
$1800 is a fairly entry-level program to Development Coaching. This would be for a new manager, with 3 coach sessions spread over 6 months.
Get in touch, let’s talk about your requirements. Once we’ve agreed on a suitable coach, you’ll meet at intervals you’ve agreed upon (usually 6 or 8 weekly), for a period of 6 or 12 months. Sometimes though, our clients need short-term support to assist with particular pressure.
So yes, you got it, get in touch, let’s go from there.
